Usaama Dauharry

Usaama Dauharry is the Founder and Managing Partner of Celerity Prime. He specialises in corporate, commercial, financial services and regulatory matters, advising corporations, financial institutions, fund managers, family offices and investors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. Since founding Celerity Prime in 2022, Usaama has led the firm's growth from a sole practice into a multidisciplinary team of legal professionals, establishing a strong reputation for excellence in corporate, financial services and regulatory matters. Under his leadership, the firm has become a trusted adviser to clients across multiple jurisdictions. Usaama regularly advises on investment fund structuring, regulatory licensing, mergers and acquisitions, private wealth arrangements and cross-border investments. His experience includes acting as lead counsel on the establishment of a USD 1 billion note programme, advising on multi-million dollar investment structures and funds, and supporting transactions across Africa, India and the Middle East.

Beyond his client work, Usaama is actively involved in the development of the Mauritian International Financial Centre and regularly contributes to discussions on AML/CFT and financial services regulation. He frequently publishes thought leadership articles and is a regular speaker at industry conferences and professional forums. Usaama lectures postgraduate students at the University of Technology, Mauritius, where he teaches Trusts and Foundations and Financial Regulation. He is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Combining technical expertise with commercial insight, Usaama is trusted by clients to navigate complex legal and regulatory challenges while helping them achieve their business objectives. Beyond his professional commitments, Usaama enjoys golf and travelling, reflecting his curiosity and international outlook.

Neelesh Kowlesser

Neelesh is a Partner at Celerity Prime. His practice focuses on financial services, capital markets, investment funds, securities, structured finance and corporate advisory matters. Neelesh was awarded the Lord Templeman Scholarship and completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of the West of England. He subsequently obtained an LLM in International Business Law with Distinction from Ghent University in Belgium. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in July 2022, having completed his Bar examinations while working full-time. Prior to joining Celerity Prime, Neelesh worked at BLC Robert & Associates in the Financial Services and Capital Markets team. During his time at BLC, he advised on the establishment of investment fund structures, applications for financial services licences before the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, cross-border debt issuances, and listings on both the Development & Enterprise Market and the Official List of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.

Neelesh subsequently joined MCB Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of the largest banking group in Mauritius. There, he was closely involved in commercial and financial negotiations, working alongside corporate finance advisory teams on a range of capital markets and structured finance matters. His experience includes debt issuances, including the first private placement of sustainability-linked bonds in Mauritius. He also advised entities within the MCB Capital Markets cluster, including the brokerage business in relation to the establishment of market-making activities, the asset management arm in connection with digitalisation strategies, and special purpose vehicles within the group in relation to the issuance of credit-linked notes. Neelesh brings to the firm a strong combination of legal, commercial and capital markets experience, allowing him to advise clients with a practical understanding of both transactional execution and market-facing considerations. Outside his legal practice, Neelesh enjoys cooking and exploring different cuisines.

Rakshita Anauth

Rakshita is a duly admitted Attorney-at-Law and Senior Associate at Celerity Prime. Her practice focuses on financial services regulation, investment funds, AML/CFT compliance, corporate advisory and dispute resolution. Rakshita was admitted to practise law in Mauritius in March 2023. She holds an LLB with First Class Honours from Aberystwyth University and completed the Law Practitioners’ Vocational Course in Mauritius. Before joining Celerity Prime, Rakshita began her career at Eversheds Sutherland (Mauritius), where she worked as an Associate and acting Compliance Officer. During that time, she gained experience in employment law, corporate advisory and AML/CFT compliance, including workplace matters, employment documentation and compliance reviews. At Celerity Prime, Rakshita advises and assists on a range of corporate, regulatory and financial services matters. She is involved in applications and regulatory submissions to the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, including in relation to Payment Intermediary Services, investment dealer activities, fund structures and other regulated financial services activities.

She also assists with the drafting and review of fund and corporate documentation, including private placement memoranda, limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, investment management agreements, advisory agreements, AML/CFT policies, internal control manuals, constitutional documents and commercial agreements. Rakshita’s practice also extends to contentious and precontentious matters, including debt recovery, contractual disputes, shareholder and corporate disputes, employment matters and trust-related complaints. She regularly assists with pleadings, statutory demands, affidavits, settlement agreements and litigation-related correspondence. Rakshita is valued for her rigour, clarity of drafting and ability to support matters that require both technical precision and commercial awareness. Outside her legal practice, Rakshita enjoys video games, anime and Korean dramas, and has a broader interest in languages and different cultures.

Vaani is a duly admitted Barrister-at-Law and Associate at Celerity Prime. Vaani Vyapoory is an Associate at Celerity and a Barrister-at-Law admitted to the Bar of Mauritius. She was called to the Utter Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2022 and subsequently admitted to practise in Mauritius in 2024. She holds an LL.B (Hons), a Graduate Diploma in Law, and an LL.M in Taxation and Business Law with Distinction. Her master's dissertation focused on the taxation of artificial intelligence and its implications for Mauritius, reflecting her interest in the intersection of law, technology, and emerging business models. She began her career as a self-employed barrister during which time she gained experience in litigation and advising clients in employment, contractual, commercial, and tort matters.

Vaani joined the Celerity team in 2025 and has since developed a practice focused primarily on employment law, business law, contract drafting and review, and debt recovery. She regularly advises and assists employers and employees on a broad range of workplace matters, including disciplinary proceedings, performance management, terminations of employment, compromise agreements, workplace policies, and compliance with the Mauritian employment law framework. She adopts a practical and solutions-oriented approach to legal issues, assisting clients in navigating workplace challenges while balancing legal compliance with commercial realities. Her work also includes the drafting and review of business agreements, legal opinions, notices, and employment-related documentation. Beyond her professional commitments, Vaani maintains a strong interest in music, the arts, and community service. She remains active in community initiatives and youth engagement programmes, reflecting her commitment to both professional excellence and social impact.
